Hai Van Engineering Brigade: Many activities to show gratitude
(Baonghean.vn) -On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), Hai Van Engineering Brigade organized many meaningful and practical activities in various forms.
The unit's leaders and commanders have organized propaganda on the meaning of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, the Party and State's policies and guidelines for people with meritorious services through the internal radio system, coordinated with local mass organizations and twinned units to organize forums, competitions, cultural and artistic exchanges, cleaned and renovated martyrs' cemeteries, memorials, and martyrs' stele houses, and helped families with preferential treatment to repair their houses with more than 400 working days.
Visited and presented 80 gifts to wounded soldiers, sick soldiers, families of policy beneficiaries, and sick soldiers in the unit who were treated at the infirmary and hospitals, with a total amount of more than 25 million VND. On the night of July 26, 2012, the Brigade coordinated with the People's Committee of Nam Dan district to organize a candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at the Nam Dan district martyrs cemetery.
In the past time, the Brigade has organized construction forces to upgrade and renovate the martyrs cemetery of Quang Tri town and inaugurated and handed over on July 21, 2012. On this occasion, the Brigade also organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house of gratitude for the family of comrade Phan Xuan Thang, 2/CN in hamlet 7, Cam My commune, Cam Xuyen district, Ha Tinh province.
