Cheated a bunch of cars with a "hot girl" face

On December 4, the People's Court of Binh Duong province tried and sentenced defendant Luu Thi Diem Hang (born in 1984, residing in Binh Duong) to 19 years in prison for the crimes of "Forging seals and documents of agencies and organizations" and "Fraudulent appropriation of property".

With a face as beautiful as a "Hot girl", Hang took advantage of this to borrow, rent cars and then pawn them.

According to the indictment, at the end of 2017, Hang drove a Honda CRV to a pawn shop in Di An town to pawn 790 million VND. At that time, the Di An town police force conducted an inspection and discovered that the papers of the car that Hang was pawning were fake, so they invited her to the headquarters for questioning.

At the investigation agency, Hang confessed that due to lack of money to spend and too much debt, she came up with the trick of renting, borrowing cars and then pawning them at pawnshops. The car above was rented by Hang from a company in Go Vap District (HCMC) on November 28, 2017. Hang also told the pawnshop owner that the car was in the process of being transferred and presented a sales contract and a transfer appointment paper from the authorities in HCMC.

On December 6, 2017, Hang returned to the pawn shop and gave the owner a vehicle registration certificate with her name on it but the address was in Thu Duc District (HCMC). On December 19, 2017, Hang returned to the pawn shop and said she would take the car to sell to pay the more than 700 million VND she had previously pawned. However, because she did not have the money, Hang gave the Fortuner car along with the transfer appointment papers and the sales contract.

After taking the Honda CRV, Hang took it to another pawn shop to pawn it for money but was discovered by the police.

Hang also confessed that in order to have the documents of the above cars, Hang hired someone to make them for 7.5 million VND/set. At the same time, she borrowed and rented cars from many other people, then pawned them with fake documents. The total amount of money from pawning the cars, Hang embezzled nearly 5 billion VND, only used for personal expenses and to pay off her debts.

Based on Hang's testimony, the Investigation Police Agency of Di An town has now investigated and recovered 12 cars and many related fake documents.

At the trial, defendant Hang admitted to her fraudulent appropriation of property and asked the jury to reduce her sentence so that she could soon return to her family and society. The jury sentenced defendant Luu Thi Diem Hang to 19 years in prison for “Forgery of seals and documents of organizations” and “Fraudulent appropriation of property”.
