Russian air defense forces in Crimea shot down a cruise missile
Air defense forces have destroyed a Ukrainian cruise missile over Crimea, the head of the Russian republic Sergei Aksenov said.
“Air defense forces shot down a cruise missile in the east of Crimea,” he wrote on Telegram.

Adviser to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov added that the falling rocket debris set grass on fire on the ground and cut power lines. According to him, the consequences will be resolved within an hour. Rescuers are working at the scene.
The Defense Ministry later confirmed the information about the missile being shot down. The ministry also announced that two more Ukrainian drones were shot down in the Bryansk region.
Ukrainian armed forces have launched repeated attacks on targets in Crimea. A day earlier, the Russian military intercepted and destroyed two drones over the Black Sea.
Last Friday night, the Kiev government attempted to attack Crimea with 42 drones. Of these, 33 were disabled by electronic warfare, and 9 others were shot down.
