Ukrainian Armed Forces prepare 3 fortification lines to switch to defensive position
(Baonghean.vn) - According to Ria Novosti - Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament Alexandra Ustinova said during the broadcast of the all-Ukrainian television contest that due to lack of ammunition, Ukraine is preparing three lines of fortifications to switch to a defensive state.

"Because we don't have weapons, we have prepared three lines of fortifications. We realized that we will have to switch to a defensive position, not an offensive one, especially in winter. And we understand that even if money is allocated, the world will not care much about Ukraine anymore," said Deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament Alexandra Ustinova.
According to the Ukrainian MP, the US and Europe, even if they joined forces, could not produce such a large amount of ammunition. The US produces about 300,000 artillery shells a year, while Ukraine uses millions.
There is now growing interest in creating FPV drones and other weapons, Ustinova added.
Previously, on December 16, CNN quoted officials as saying that the Ukrainian army was having to limit the use of ammunition, while the Russian army was attacking their positions with 5 to 7 times greater intensity.
Not only is there a serious shortage of weapons and ammunition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine also face a shortage of soldiers. Therefore, the head of the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov, said that the forced mobilization of troops in Ukraine will continue.
Mr. Budanov admitted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces generally do not have enough people, and warned that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will continue to suffer losses. Therefore, the number of soldiers in the army must be maintained.
The head of the General Intelligence Directorate admitted that “everyone who wanted to” joined the army in the first six months. Now Ukrainians have no motivation to serve in the army, and are trying in every possible way to avoid conscription.
"Although the majority of people shout: 'I am Ukrainian', 'Ukraine is above all'. Everyone supports Ukraine in words, but they avoid mobilizing troops," General Budanov complained.
