Currently, Cua Lo town is a key tourist city of Nghe An, and has been recognized by the Prime Minister as the first coastal tourist city in the country. Cua Lo is rated by the World Tourism Organization as one of the most ideal beaches in Vietnam. Over the years, Cua Lo tourism has developed continuously, famous for its clean beaches, friendly and hospitable people, and unique cuisine.

Entering the 2015 tourist season, Cua Lo has many new objective advantages, namely: The town is identified by the province as one of the two key economic centers; recognized by the Government as the first coastal tourist city in the country; National Highway 1A has been expanded, Vinh airport has been upgraded to an international airport, with a scale of 2.5 million passengers/year; Cua Lo Port continues to be invested in and upgraded; The infrastructure system serving tourism continues to be invested in - favorable facilities.
