MU beat Liverpool again to get Ashley Young
Manchester United have once again beaten Liverpool to the signing of midfielder Ashley Young this summer, having already won the race for Phil Jones.
The Aston Villa winger is a top target for both Manchester United and Liverpool as they look to bolster their attack, but Old Trafford seems a much more attractive destination than Anfield at the moment.

According to the Daily Mail, after a period of hesitation and discussion, Manchester United's board of directors finally decided to spend 15 million pounds to bring Ashley Young to Old Trafford, even though this midfielder only has one year left on his contract with Aston Villa.
Ashley Young's agent Eric Walters was at Manchester United's Carrington training ground yesterday to finalise the terms of the 25-year-old winger's contract. The two sides are keen to complete the transfer before Young gets married this week.
So, after Kenny Dalglish snatched Jordan Henderson for 20 million pounds right from under Manchester United's noses, Sir Alex immediately counterattacked with two deals, Phil Jones and Ashley Young.
If Phil Jones is considered the ideal replacement for Rio Ferdinand in the future, Young will be used by Sir Alex as a worthy successor to Ryan Giggs, who is old and involved in numerous love scandals.
Like Giggs, Young also possesses impressive pace and is extremely dangerous from indirect free-kicks. Young recently shone after being brought on by England coach Fabio Capello as a substitute against Switzerland at Wembley, scoring the goal that saved England from defeat.
In addition to Phil Jones and Ashley Young, coach Alex Ferguson is also eager to quickly conclude all negotiations to bring goalkeeper David De Gea from Atletico Madrid to Old Trafford as soon as the European U21 finals end.
It is expected that this deal will also cost Manchester United about 17 million pounds.
