During the trip to Villa Park last night (December 15),MUeasily won 3-0. Besides Danny Welbeck's double in the first half, other bright spots in this match for MU were Tom Cleverley's goal and the return of midfielder Darren Fletcher. For Cleverley, it was the first goal for MU in about a year. Fletcher brought positive signals to MU because he finally overcame his intestinal disease.

The 3-0 victory over Aston Villa was also considered a necessary and timely "doping" dose for MU when they had just experienced disappointing matches at home at Old Trafford. However, coach David Moyes still showed that he was not really satisfied and wanted his players to do better.

"The team has gradually improved but still needs to be more solid. The players played well. My only criticism in this match is that we did not score more goals. But anyway, I feel satisfied with the overall match," the Scottish strategist shared his thoughts in the post-match press conference.

With Robin van Persie injured, Welbeck was given a start and scored for the first time since the opening day of the season. Moyes saw something positive behind the England striker's goals against Aston Villa.

"That was very important for Danny. He took advantage of the opportunity when Van Persie was absent to shine. In life, knowing how to seize opportunities can lead to success. Danny did that very well today," said the former Everton strategist.

Before ending the press conference,Moyeshas called on referees to "protect" players like Adnan Januzaj. The Scottish strategist believes that Januzaj was seen as a target to be eliminated by the home players in the last match. "In every match, I can't count how many vicious tackles he received. That's why I was angry with both the referee and the referee. Januzaj was not properly protected, and they (Aston Villa players) lined up to kick him."
