She still clearly remembers that when she was 7 years old, every time May came, her hometown Kim Lien was more bustling with folk songs, vi phuong vai, all over the village practiced singing and dancing, little Thuy took advantage of studying early to go listen to the singing. The village road was bright with moonlight, little Thuy walked and hummed the phuong vai song: "Oh... Ask me, ask my good friends, how many times Uncle Ho returned to Kim Lien"; then she sang a smooth and profound folk song: "...Who knows whether the Lam River water is clear or turbid, then only will know that life is both shameful and glorious..." Little Thuy was absorbed in the melodies until she reached the gate of her house without realizing it. Thuy also cannot forget the applause and tears of many audiences on the night of Uncle Ho's birthday celebration in Kim Lien when Thuy was 9 years old, after Thuy finished singing the song "Looking at the tree, remembering the person".
Bich Thuy confided: After leaving high school, she was admitted to Nghe Tinh Cultural Information High School, Music Pedagogy class. There she had the opportunity to improve her qualifications and develop her qualities. For many years of study, she participated in competitions and performances of the school and achieved many high achievements. When she became a music teacher, she always learned about folk songs of Nghe An and constantly studied to improve her professional qualifications.
