The perfect makeover of the new Mazda2

Mazda surprised the public with the novelty of the new generation Mazda2 5-door hatchback.

The new Mazda2 is part of Thaco Truong Hai's distribution plan in the Vietnamese market in 2015.

Completely different from the current generation, the new Mazda2 has a complete makeover with the Kodo design philosophy replacing the previous zoom zoom style. The Mazda2's appearance is inspired by the Hazumi concept car but has been adjusted in some details such as the windows and door handles.

The main parts including headlights, grille, fog lights still retain the design of Hazumi concept. The size of the new Mazda2 is much larger than the current car, resulting in a significant increase in interior space.

Initial information shows that the new Mazda2 is equipped with many additional technological devices. The highlight is the appearance of the MZD Connect multimedia connection system.

The new Mazda2 is the first to use the new generation Skyactiv engine with a cylinder capacity of 1.5 liters. In addition, there is also an additional option of a turbocharged diesel engine with the same capacity of 1.5 liters. It comes with front-wheel drive and the option of a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Mazda2 will officially go on sale in the Japanese market next October under the name Demio. In Vietnam, Mazda2 is being assembled and distributed by Thaco Truong Hai. Competitors of Mazda2 include Toyota Yaris, Ford Fiesta and Hyundai i20.
