Masan starts construction of 1,000 billion VND pig farm in Nghe An

(Baonghean.vn)-On the morning of November 5, in Quy Hop, Masan Group coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to organize the groundbreaking ceremony of the high-tech pig farm Masan Nutri - Farm Nghe An.

Attending the ceremony were comrades Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Huu Lam - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee; Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors and Quy Hop district.

Masan Nutri - Farm Nghe An high-tech pig farm has a total area of ​​nearly 223.7 hectares built in Ha Son commune, Quy Hop.

The project has a total investment of 1,000 billion VND and after being put into operation will attract nearly 350 direct local workers, and will contribute more than 1,000 billion VND/year to the local GDP. This will be the largest pig farming project in Nghe An at present.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masan Group spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony and pledged to complete the project on schedule.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the groundbreaking ceremony and affirmed that the Provincial People's Committee and relevant levels and sectors will create the most favorable conditions for the investor to implement the project on schedule.

The high-tech pig farm has a scale of 10,000 sows, annually producing 230,000 pigs for meat according to an industrial model with a closed, modern cycle, meeting VietGAP livestock technical standards, ensuring food safety and disease control.

According to the plan, the project will be invested and constructed for more than 1 year. It is expected that in the first quarter of 2017, the farm will start raising pigs and in the first quarter of 2018, it will start supplying pork to the market and complete the processing line.

Representatives of Masan Group and Quy Hop District People's Committee presented souvenirs to 10 typical households in site clearance in Ha Son commune.

Representative of Masan Group handed over the key to Ha Son Kindergarten project worth 150 million VND.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts and determination of the investor to implement the project, the attention and direction of the Party Committees and authorities of Quy Hop district in handling procedures for investors, site clearance, especially the consensus and support of local people in the project area.

At the same time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized: the province will commit to always stand side by side with investors to implement projects effectively and sustainably in Nghe An.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committee of Quy Hop district and related departments, branches and sectors to continue to pay attention to creating the most favorable conditions for investors, promptly resolve procedures and handle problems for the project. Masan Group coordinates well with the People's Committee of Quy Hop district and departments and sectors in implementing the project, especially paying attention to environmental issues, ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting, and giving priority to recruiting local children to work.
