Lost life due to holding phone and not returning it

After paying to get the phone back but not being able to, and being challenged, the two subjects stabbed the man to death right in front of the motel door.

At 2:00 a.m. on March 27, the Criminal Police Department (PC45) of Can Tho City Police issued an emergency arrest warrant for two suspects, Bui Thanh Duong (30 years old) and Pham Trung Tinh (28 years old), both residing in Hung Loi Ward, Ninh Kieu District, Can Tho City, for murder. The victim who was stabbed to death was Nguyen Minh Khiem (25 years old, no fixed residence).

According to the initial investigation, at 11pm on March 26, PC45 received a report that two young men riding a Dream II motorbike came to the entrance of alley 71, 3-2 street to argue with Mr. Nguyen Minh Khiem (who was eating noodles). After that, the two subjects pulled out knives and chased him, stabbing him to death on the spot.

Conducting a search, the detectives narrowed down the area to two criminals, Bui Thanh Duong and Pham Trung Tinh, with characteristics as described. Combined with the identification results, the police identified the main perpetrators as Duong and Tinh. At 2:00 a.m. on March 27, the police department issued an emergency arrest warrant for these two men.

At the police station, Duong and Tinh admitted their crimes. Accordingly, on March 20, Duong pawned an iPhone 4 to Khiem for 300,000 VND. On March 21, Duong returned 300,000 VND to Khiem to redeem the phone, but Khiem did not return the phone. At 6:00 p.m. on March 26, Duong and Tinh went to the motel in alley 71, 3/2 street twice to look for Khiem to demand the phone but did not meet him.

Angry because he couldn't get the phone, Duong asked Tinh to go see Khiem to get revenge. Duong went into the bedroom, took a 30cm long homemade dagger, put it in his pocket, then went to alley 71 to find Khiem.

Upon arrival, the two sides argued. Duong took a knife, Tinh picked up a piece of plastic pipe from the side of the road and chased Khiem into alley 71. Khiem ran to the front door of the motel 71/2A and was stabbed twice in the back and neck by Duong, causing him to die on the spot. After committing the crime, Duong and Tinh got in the car and fled the scene.
