The Fatherland Front and its members need to promote initiative and professionalism in their activities.

On the afternoon of July 18, the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province held the 8th Conference, term 2019-2024. Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Hong Vinh - Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the province; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors.

Implement vigorously and effectively

The Fatherland Front at all levels implemented the Resolution of the Congress for the 2019-2024 term in a context of many difficulties, but under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, the Fatherland Front at all levels and member organizations constantly innovated the content and methods of operation towards the grassroots and residential areas, implementing the Resolution of the Congress of the Fatherland Front at all levels for the 2019-2024 term in a drastic, methodical and correct manner.

Thereby, creating many strong impressions with great influence, contributing to motivating and encouraging all classes of people, uniting and competing to successfully implement the goals and plans for socio-economic development of the province, enhancing the position, and clearly affirming the role of a solid "bridge" between the Party, the State and the people.

Notably, in the past 3 years, the Provincial Fatherland Front has mobilized support in cash and kind amounting to more than 1,000 billion VND, built and repaired 4,190 solidarity houses for poor households (nearly reaching the Resolution target of 5,000 houses), supported 10,527 households with means of production, more than 2,000 households with livelihood models, 7,344 poor people with medical examination and treatment, and 17,572 poor students going to school.

The activities of social supervision, criticism, and contributions to Party and government building by the Fatherland Front at all levels have become increasingly in-depth, practical, and effective.

The Fatherland Front at all levels has been gradually overcoming the situation of “not supervising, not supervising” in social supervision and criticism activities. Over the past 3 years, the Fatherland Front at all levels has organized 11,045 social supervision and criticism meetings and dialogue conferences with more than 235,136 participants and more than 38,401 opinions.

At the same time, the Fatherland Front has coordinated to successfully organize the elections of the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels. Ethnic and Religious work continues to have many innovations, demonstrating the role of gathering the great national unity bloc, worthy of being the "Common Home" of all classes of people. In addition, digital transformation solutions are deployed in the system of Fatherland Fronts at all levels of Nghe An province.

In particular, the Provincial Fatherland Front has proactively advised the Provincial Party Standing Committee to issue Resolution No. 04-NQ/TU dated November 19, 2021 on "Strengthening the Party's leadership to improve the quality and effectiveness of the activities of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, 2021 - 2025 period and the following years"; this is the "compass" of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to continue to innovate and affirm their position and role in the political system.

The above results have actively contributed to the Party Committee and government in carrying out the political tasks of the province, and have been recognized and highly appreciated by the Party Committee, government and people.

A place to gather and unite

Speaking at the conference, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged and commended the positive and effective contributions of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations in the past half term.

Deploying tasks in the coming time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Fatherland Front at all levels to continue promoting the achieved results, focus on overcoming shortcomings and limitations and deploying a number of key contents.

Firstly, in the activities of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations, it is important to pay attention to promoting their own initiative.

Second, the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to develop action plans for programs, emulation movements, and campaigns based on the realities of their agencies and units to proactively determine the content, scale, and appropriate methods of their organizations and units.

At the same time, the Fatherland Front and its member organizations need to affirm, cultivate and promote professionalism in their activities, create trust among the people, philanthropists, and entrusted subjects, and promote the image of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations.

Third, focus on building critical thinking skills in the activities of the Fatherland Front and its member organizations. Continue to study functions to promote authority and responsibility according to the provisions of law to perform the function of building the great national unity bloc, perform well the function of gathering people to build the great national unity bloc; participate in building the Party and government; perform well the task of people's foreign affairs to contribute to the good implementation of the task of socio-economic development of the province.

On this occasion, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee consulted to add members to the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for the 14th term, 2019-2024 term.
