9-year-old Vietnamese model crowned Miss United Nations
Child model Phung Hieu Anh from Ho Chi Minh City has won the crown of the Little Miss United Nations contest that recently took place in India.
Bring Little Miss United Nations setnational costumeNamed “Baby Dragon”, Phung Hieu Anh shone brilliantly in a typical national costume honoring the traditional values of Vietnamese history and culture.
The national costume is inspired by the dragon image in Eastern culture. The dragon is a sacred creature, symbolizing luck and power. With the image of a winding dragon, the red national costume with meticulously hand-embroidered motifs has brought a very new Asian color.

In the talent competition, Phung Hieu Anh conquered the judges with the song "This Earth is Ours" which she had practiced very carefully with her vocal teacher at home and a presentation in English introducing her beautiful and hospitable country of Vietnam.
After the evening gown performance, the three best candidates were named as child beauties from the host country India, Vietnam and Russia.
Final result, CrownLittle MissThe United Nations has named the girl Phung Hieu Anh.

After the moment of coronation, Little Miss United Nations 2022 Phung Hieu Anh shared: “Since I came here, I have missed home so much, but I promised myself that I would be determined to bring glory to my loved ones who are waiting for me at home. Receiving this title, I feel that I have to try harder, I will study hard and do more good things so that my grandparents, parents and all those who love me will always be proud of me.”.

Phung Hieu Anh is currently a 3rd grader from Luong Dinh Cua Primary School (Thu Duc City - Ho Chi Minh City). Although she has just turned 9, she has already achieved many admirable achievements. At the age of 6, Hieu Anh was crowned Ao Dai Ambassador. In 2012, Hieu Anh was voted as a Blue Angel by the Ho Chi Minh City Environmental Association. For many years, Hieu Anh has been an excellent student.
In addition, she also has a passion for music, fashion and modeling. Just turned 9 years old, but child model Phung Hieu Anh is already considered a talented face on the Vietnamese catwalk and a familiar face in the children's fashion market when continuously appearing in fashion collections.
Little Miss United Nations is a talent and beauty contest for children aged 7 to 12 around the world. After 4 years of organization, the contest has become a prestigious playground for child models around the world.
This year, Little Miss United Nations brings together 20 contestants from 20 countries around the world in India from May 1 to May 8, 2022. This is also the first year that Vietnam has a child representative participating and she has excellently won the highest title of Little Miss United Nations.
