US strategic bombers fly near Russian border
Two US B-1B Lancer strategic bombers flew over Lithuania near the Russian border, the US Air Forces in Europe and Africa Command reported.
The nuclear-capable aircraft took off from an airport in the UK and, after flying near the Russian border, refueled in Germany.
The crew coordinated with Lithuanian and British target guidance aircraft to detect simulated ground targets. "The purpose of the flight was to enhance the readiness and coordination of target guidance units responsible for coordinating air strikes in support of ground forces," the press release said.

Two bombers were deployed to Europe from an air base in Texas (USA).
Recently, the activity of foreign spy planes and drones near Russian borders has increased significantly. The Russian Defense Ministry has repeatedly called on its Western partners to abandon such actions, but the West has not responded.
