Excavator sinks into river, one worker dies

(Baonghean.vn)- Mr. Pham Van Linh - Chief of Police of Nghia Thinh Commune, Nghia Dan, Nghe An confirmed that yesterday afternoon (July 7) an accident occurred in the commune, killing an excavator operator.

A witness said that at around 2:30 p.m. on July 7, while working in the field, he discovered that the excavator had sunk into the river. The incident was immediately reported to the local authorities and people were called for help. However, the victim died after being trapped in the cabin.

The victim was identified as Nguyen Van Quang (born in 1989, Quang Tien Ward, Thai Hoa Town), an excavator operator for Truong An Phu Company located in Hamlet 3, Nghia Hung Commune, Nghia Dan, Nghe An. Nghia Dan District Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident./.
