MC Dai Nghia burst into tears when he first shaved his head to become a monk.
After completing the monastic course, MC Dai Nghia has many emotions in his heart, hoping to inspire those with affinity.
MC Dai Nghia has just shared about the process of participating in the ordination course to sow karma at Huyen Khong Pagoda (Huong Tra, Hue). On October 26, when he arrived at the pagoda, the male artist and everyone were still strangers to each other.
He believes that everyone has their own reasons for joining the monastic life, but they all boil down to the desire to study and live the life of a monk for 10 days.
Dai Nghia said that during the hair-cutting ceremony, he was moved and burst into tears when he saw the first strands of his hair fall down. "While using the clippers to push my hair, the monk said:Uncle Nghia's hair is too gray.I replied:But after today there will be no more hair to turn gray.", MC recalled.

During his days of practicing, Dai Nghia always had new and unprecedented emotions within him. The life of a monk is completely different from that of an MC. Every morning at 3am, he and everyone else got up to prepare and help each other to read the sutras at 3:45am.
It wasn't until the third day that everyone got completely used to this lifestyle. "I found myself wearing this outfit more comfortable and beautiful than any flashy outfit I've ever worn," he said.
At the end of the retreat, MC Dai Nghia shared his emotions with the monks and the remaining students: "This is the moment when I feel I have a peaceful life. I have learned good things from the monks and fellow practitioners who have been living together during the past days.
After leaving this place and returning to normal life, you will definitely have worries and troubles. But no matter what happens in the future, let's not forget that we had moments like this."
When contacted by VietNamNet, MC Dai Nghia refused to share more. According to him, this is not a PR story. MC only shares to spread inspiration to those who are interested or have the chance.
Before that, Dai Nghia went to Hue to give 250 gifts to people in Huong Ho ward, Huong Tra district and then participated in a course to become a monk. Singer Anh Duy - a close friend who accompanied Dai Nghia - said that the whole group was happy for the MC for realizing his long-standing dream.

During the 10 days of the retreat, Dai Nghia and the other students lived like a real monk. His daily life revolved around studying the Dharma, meditating, chanting, Dharma talks, tea talks, etc. He was also not allowed to use the phone.
MC Dai Nghia was born in 1978 and has been a lay Buddhist for many years. He is one of the most sought-after performers in Vietnam. He only spends enough for his personal life, invests in his work, and donates money to charity. The MC's life revolves around volunteer activities across the country.
Dai Nghia once shared with VietNamNet about his intention to become a monk but did not have enough fate so he just became a layman. Specifically, at the age of 18, he had to choose between two paths: monk and artist. Because he was an only child, he chose to put his original plan aside.
In real life, Dai Nghia lives a simple life and has been a vegetarian for 12 years. On his personal page, the MC often shows off delicious homemade vegetarian dishes and occasionally shares vegetarian recipes.
