VTV MC My Van reveals about her 'rich' husband, a life that many people envy
MC My Van shared: "Sometimes I wonder if life has been too kind to me. I have a great passion for my work, a husband and a strong marriage of nearly 20 years."

I feel like life has been too kind to me!
- To talk about your current life, what 8 words would you summarize it in?
That is: Happiness, fulfillment, passion and gratitude. In my work, I am happy because I have chosen the right path, being an MC and also teaching. Although they are 2, they are 1 because both are jobs of holding the microphone to convey positive messages.
Sometimes I wonder if life has been too kind to me. I have a great passion for my work, a husband and a strong marriage of nearly 20 years. We understand each other and look forward together. I have two well-behaved and studious daughters.
I am now nearly 50, but regardless of age, I always feel energetic and full of life, still passionate about work like I was in my twenties. I am grateful for life and the audience who have always accompanied, loved and motivated me to try.

-Are you a modern woman or a traditional housewife who takes care of the family?
Many people ask me this. I see myself as a mix of traditional and modern women. I am passionate about my work but when I come home I still try to be a good housewife. The proof is that every day I cook, my husband and children exclaim: "Is it Van who cooks today?" because the dishes are more elaborate and the presentation is different.
Although I am busy, I always make time to take my children out and take care of their studies. My husband and I have moments of gardening and harvesting fruits together... very joyful and happy.
-How do you juggle so many different roles in life?
I think there is no other way than to love and cherish the job I have chosen, from there I know how to allocate and arrange to live with those passions. On stage I devote all my love to the audience, in class I devote all my passion to my students and when I come home I devote 100% of my mind and time to my family.
If you have read the bookHow did I become an MC?, you will see my 4 heavy accents in 1 day principle. That is: Reading, exercising, beautifying and studying. When going out, I am extroverted, I like to do work that has a positive impact on the community. However, I also really like the moments when I am alone and read a book, listen to music.
We know how to "simplify" every problem, minimizing arguments and annoying each other.

- How does your husband support you in your television career?
It can be said that without his companionship, My Van would not be where she is today. My skill training center is built by him in terms of facilities and equipment, I am just the one who brings knowledge.
If before he could show a slightly annoyed attitude because I came home late, now he asks questions and reminds the children to get water. I have influenced him with my love and dedication to my work. Because he loves his wife, he also understands and loves my work. Once he praised my lecture as good and impressive. He likes his wife to do the job of imparting knowledge and bringing good values to the community.
- Is your husband concerned about how busy you are?
I did before, especially when I was a singer at Thang Long Song and Dance Troupe. My husband did not support me because he was worried that I would travel a lot and my artistic soul would be so free-spirited that it would lead to an unfulfilled marriage.
But when we got married, I gave him trust. The love of the audience and the achievements I had made showed him my seriousness and eagerness to learn. I was always his backer with my tactfulness, trying to balance work and taking care of the family from the smallest moments together.
- Are you and your husband compatible or opposite versions in real life?
My husband and I have different personalities, but perhaps it is because of our opposites that we attract each other. I talk a lot, especially when we go out, while he is quite quiet and reserved. I like romance, while he is more practical. However, we both share the same point of view, looking in the same direction, accompanying the opposite things of the other.
- The audience really admires the 20-year marriage ofMC My VanWhat is your secret to keeping happiness?
We have been together for 19 years now and are about to enter our 20th year. Of course, there are times when things don't go well, but the important thing is that both he and I consider family as the place we want to return to the most after the hustle and bustle of life out there.
After many years together, we both realized that when something is bothering us, we just need to be patient and lower our egos and everything will be fine. Instead of letting our egos soar and insisting we were right, now we know how to "simplify" every problem, minimizing arguments and annoying each other.
- People still say your husband is a tycoon. In your family, who is the “treasurer”?
The concept of "rich" is very abstract. To what standard will one be called a rich person? I am satisfied with my current life, not too much financial pressure so I focus on doing what I like with passion. In the family, my husband is the main "treasurer" of finance so that I can focus on work.

-Do your two daughters have strong personalities and a passion for literature? Do they have a talent for singing like you?
The personalities and interests of the two children are quite different. The older one is decisive, works hard, has a clear goal orientation - a personality inherited from his father. The younger one is also influenced by his mother in terms of artistic talent, musical appreciation, singing well, writing and drawing well. I once oriented him to pursue architecture, but he insisted that he wanted to do business.
The second child is innocent, active, mischievous, more extroverted but not as profound as the older one. Although she is 12 years old, she always thinks of herself as the youngest in the family, so her passion has not yet been clearly expressed. Both are well-behaved and study well - that is what I am most satisfied with.
