Biological mother masterminded the kidnapping of her daughter
Ms. Vo Thi Kim Chi (born in 1963) was accused of being the mastermind who hired a group of people in a car to kidnap her daughter, which then led to the incident of "saving a wife, a husband stabbed 3 people, causing casualties".
On the afternoon of November 19, Vinh Long Provincial Police announced that the investigation agency had detained Vo Thi Kim Chi (born in 1967, temporarily residing in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) for investigation into her behavior.illegal detention.
The investigation agency has initiated criminal proceedings against the illegal detention and murder cases to clarify the cause and prosecute those involved in the case of a husband and wife stabbing three people, causing injuries and deaths, in front of a coffee shop along Highway 53, through Long An Commune, Long Ho District.
According to initial investigation results, Ms. Chi was accused of being the mastermind who hired a group of people to drive from Ba Ria - Vung Tau province to Vinh Long to kidnap her biological daughter, the owner of a coffee shop on the side of Highway 53 at noon on November 15.

According to the investigation results, on the day of the incident, a group of people in a 7-seat car stopped on the side of Highway 53. This group then used pepper spray to control and drag the owner of the restaurant, Vo Thi Thuy Hang (born in 1991, Chi's daughter) out to put her in the car. Tran Ngoc Giao (born in 1990) heard his wife's cry for help and ran out to rescue her.
At that time, Giao held an iron bar in his hand and stabbed the kidnappers, killing one person and injuring two others. After committing the crime, Giao surrendered to the police and was detained for investigation.
The investigation agency quickly arrested those involved in the kidnapping group. The suspects confessed that Ms. Chi hired them to travel by car from Ba Ria – Vung Tau province to Vinh Long province to arrest the female coffee shop owner with an advance payment of about 10 million VND.
Also accompanying this group was Nguyen Thanh Nhut (born in 1999, younger brother of the female owner). Nhut was the guide, showing the way to the place where this group of people kidnapped the older sister and took her to the car. After the incident, Nhut fled the scene.
From the statements of those involved, Nhut and his biological mother later turned themselves in to the investigation agency.
Vinh Long Provincial Police are expanding the investigation to clarify the role of each person as well as the motive leading to the incident.
