Mercedes is about to launch the 2018 X350d pickup truck

Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the X350d 4Matic pickup with a turbocharged diesel engine, and promises to make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.This is the next pickup model in the high-end pickup segment.Mercedes-Benz's entry-level model after the X200 (2.0 petrol engine), X200d and X250d.

The new Mercedes pickup will be equipped with a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged Diesel engine, which can produce a maximum capacity of 258 horsepower at 3,400 rpm and a maximum torque of 550 Nm from 1,400 to 3,200 rpm. With such an engine block, the Mercedes X350d is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds and the maximum speed of the vehicle is announced to be 205 km/h.

To transmit power to all four wheels from the engine, the car is equipped with a 7-speed automatic transmission and a 4-wheel drive system with priority to transfer more kinetic energy to the rear axle (60:40). Users can switch to 4H mode to lock the drive priority to a balanced level (50:50) and the car also has a 4L low-speed mode.

Mercedes claims the pickup can wade through 600mm of water with 202mm front ground clearance and 222mm rear ground clearance. The maximum approach angle is 29 degrees and the departure angle is 24 degrees.

There will be two options for this model: Power and Progressive. The Progressive version will be equipped with 17-inch 6-spoke alloy wheels, chrome air-conditioning vents, leather steering wheel, fabric seats and the basic Audio 20 infotainment system, along with an 8-speaker sound system. The Power version will have 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a matte black dashboard with leather upper, leather seats (electrically adjustable) and the Audio 20 infotainment system.

The Mercedes-Benz X350d will go on sale in the second half of this year first in Germany and the announced price is from 1.48 billion VND.
