Due to an injury in the win over Sevilla yesterday, October 20, Barca's captain will have to rest for about three weeks.
After the 4-2 win over Sevilla, Barca quickly made the first announcement about Lionel Messi's injury: ''Messi has a fractured radial bone in his right hand and will have to rest for about three weeks''.

With a relatively long absence, the captain will likely not be able to participate in Barca's next five matches, including the match against Inter Milan (Champions League), Real Madrid (La Liga), Cultural Leonesa (King's Cup), Rayo Vallecano (La Liga) and the return match against Inter.
Messi could return against Atletico Madrid at the end of November, after the international break.
Barca's captain was injured in a collision with a Sevilla player in the 17th minute. Despite being bandaged by a doctor, the star captain still felt uncomfortable and had to leave the field in the 26th minute.
Before breaking his arm, Messi managed to make an important contribution with an assist and a goal. Thanks to that, Barca won 4-2 and regained the top position in La Liga after nine rounds.
