Messi was given a pair of shoes with the story of his life and career.
A Paraguayan artist drew Messi's most important moments on a pair of shoes and gave it to the Barca superstar.

Cantero uses the shoes to describe Messi's life and football career. The right foot includes the moments when M10 started playing football, scored his first goal for Barca, progressed in his career and celebrated at the Bernabeu; while the left foot allows viewers to follow a miniature story about Messi's personal life through images of him standing next to his mother, holding his two sons, getting married and playing for Argentina.
According to Cantero, the inspiration for the shoe was Messi's extraordinary efforts to reach the top. "I want to send love from Paraguay to Messi and the whole world. The images are completely hand-painted," said Cantero.

This is not the first time Cantero has painted boots for players. He has done the same for Paraguayan international Derlis Gonzalez as well as several other players.
Messi was born in Argentina, a neighboring country of Paraguay in 1987. Starting his football career in 2004, M10 has won a series of major titles, notably eight La Liga, four Champions Leagues and five Ballon d'Ors.
