Microsoft is planning to develop a browser with a completely new platform in Windows 10. More importantly, this application will no longer be part of the Internet Explorer branded product line, according to ZDnet.
The new browser, codenamed Spartan, has the advantage of supporting extensions like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox but using Microsoft's Chakra JavaScript engine. Windows 10 is expected to reach users in 2015, including the browser codenamed Spartan and Internet Explorer 11, helping users gradually transition from the old generation to the new generation.
Internet Explorer held about 59 percent of the worldwide desktop browser market share in October compared to Chrome's 20.57 percent and Firefox's 13.26 percent, according to data from NetMarketShare.
