Dismissal of 8 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the Auditor General

This afternoon (April 2), the National Assembly officially dismissed 8 members of the National Assembly Standing Committee and the State Auditor General of Vietnam.

National Assembly delegates vote to dismiss positions

The vote counting results announced by Head of the Vote Counting Committee Huynh Van Ti said:

433/471 valid votes (87.65% of total delegates) agreed to dismiss Mr. Huynh Ngoc Son from the position of Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.

436/469 votes in favor (88.26%) to dismiss Mr. Ksor Phuoc from the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Council of Ethnic Minorities.

456/469 votes (88.26%) approved the position of Chairman of the Judiciary Committee for Mr. Nguyen Van Hien.

444/469 valid votes (89.88%) in favor of dismissal from officeChairman of the Finance and Budget Committee for Mr. Phung Quoc Hien

435/469 valid votes (88.06%) in favor of dismissal from officeChairman of the National Defense and Security Committee for Mr. Nguyen Kim Khoa.

435/469 valid votes (88.06%) approved the Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children for Mr. Dao Trong Thi.

446/469 valid votes (90.28%)Approved the dismissal of Ms. Truong Thi Mai from the position of Chairwoman of the Committee on Social Affairs.

In addition, the National Assembly also voted by secret ballot to approve the dismissal of the positions of members of the National Assembly Standing Committee with Mr. and Mrs. Ksor Phuoc, Nguyen Van Hien, Phung Quoc Hien, Nguyen Kim Khoa, Dao Trong Thi, Truong Thi Mai andNguyen Thi Nuong.

The report of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the dismissal of the above positions assessed: During the tenure of the position, each comrade always fulfilled the assigned tasks.

Next, the National Assembly also voted to pass the Resolution on the dismissal of the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly and the above positions with 408/414 (accounting for 82.59% of the total number of delegates participating in the vote) in favor.

The vote counting results announced by Mr. Huynh Van Ti also showed that the National Assembly also dismissed Mr. Nguyen Huu Van from the position of State Auditor General with 436/469 valid votes in favor.

The National Assembly passed a resolution to dismiss the State Auditor General from office with 409/413 (82.79%) of the total number of delegates present) in favor.

At the 5th session of the 13th National Assembly, Mr. Nguyen Huu Van was elected by the National Assembly to hold the position of State Auditor General.
