Central region attracts tourists during September 2nd holiday
With the advantage of having 4 world cultural heritages, the Central region always attracts domestic and foreign tourists, especially during the National Day on September 2.
This year's September 2nd holiday falls on the weekend, making it a perfect time for families to organize a short 3-5 day vacation.
Travel agencies have prepared many tours with a wide variety of destinations for both domestic and international travelers with tour prices not increasing compared to normal days. According to travel agencies, the trend of choosing tourist destinations for this year's holiday season focuses mainly on some areas of the Central region including Hoi An, My Son (Quang Nam), Hue (Thua Thien Hue), Phong Nha - Ke Bang (Quang Binh), which are world cultural heritages.
Meanwhile, in Da Nang city, the tourism atmosphere on September 2nd is quite quiet compared to previous years, most travel agencies do not have many tours registered for tourists.
According to tourism agencies in Da Nang, since the Ministry of Education and Training decided to give students a shorter summer vacation and a longer Tet holiday, September 2 is no longer the peak season for domestic tourism, because families have focused on sending their children back to school before September.
On the other hand, North-South tourists to Da Nang are mainly small groups with a tendency to stay in high-end coastal resorts. This type of tourist specializes in resting rather than sightseeing, so the Da Nang-Hoi An-Ba Na tour is the most popular with them.
According to tourism agencies in Da Nang, tourists from Da Nang and the Central region traveling domestically on September 2 often take 1-day, 2-day and maximum 3-day tours to nearby and new destinations such as Ba Na for 1 day, Thien Duong Cave (Quang Binh) for 2 days, Ly Son for 2 days and Truc Lam Bach Ma Zen Monastery - Thanh Tan Hot Spring - Thien Duong Cave for 3 days.
