Free admission to Hue Monuments for 3 days during Tet
The Hue Monuments Conservation Center will waive entrance fees at sites such as the Imperial City, An Dinh Palace and royal tombs (part of the Hue Monuments system) on January 23, 24 and 25, i.e. from the first to the third day of the Lunar New Year 2012, to serve the people and tourists.
Ticket prices at these locations range from 30,000 VND to 35,000 VND/domestic visitor and 55,000 VND/foreign visitor. At An Dinh Palace, the general ticket price is 10,000 VND.

At the Imperial City, Hue, in addition to being open for free during the 3 days of the traditional national New Year, this is also a place to combine cultural and artistic activities and other folk games at Ngo Mon Square to attract local people and tourists to visit.
In just the first two days of the new year (January 1 and 2), despite the drizzly and cold weather, the tourist attractions in the Hue Monuments Complex welcomed more than 5,000 visitors; of which, more than 3,200 were foreign visitors.
The policy of free admission to relic sites in Thua Thien-Hue province during the Lunar New Year has received consensus and excitement from the people and is continued every year.
In recent times, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center has also opened its doors free of charge to welcome thousands of students from local schools to visit, study, and participate in games at the relic sites.
This is one of the activities within the framework of the project "Building a community network to support the preservation of Hue heritage" funded by France to educate and raise awareness of preserving, protecting and promoting cultural heritage for students. Since then, schools in Thua Thien-Hue have registered for students to protect and regularly care for 228 historical and cultural relics in the area./.
