Mike Pompeo: Pyongyang is ready to denuclearize the Korean peninsula
Ahead of a summit with the United States, Pyongyang has affirmed its readiness to denuclearize the Korean peninsula, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said.

"The United States and North Korea are negotiating directly and preparing for the summit. North Korea has affirmed its desire to denuclearize," Pompeo said at a press conference.
According to him, logistical and technical preparations for the upcoming summit, scheduled to take place on June 12 in Singapore, are currently being completed.
