Media: Mr. Trump wants a three-way meeting with Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelensky on August 22
A trilateral meeting between leaders Donald Trump - Vladimir Putin - Volodymyr Zelensky is proposed to take place on August 22.

According to RIA Novosti, Axios reported citing close sources that US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders that he wanted to hold a three-way meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and Mr. Zelensky on August 22.
“Mr. Trump also told European leaders in a phone call after the summit in Alaska that he wanted to hold a three-way meeting with Mr. Putin and Mr. Zelensky next Friday (August 22),” Axios said.
Meanwhile, a meeting of President Donald Trump, Mr. Zelensky and EU representatives at the White House is scheduled to take place on Monday (August 18).
According to Reuters, Mr. Zelensky refused to cede the entire territory of Donetsk in exchange for a freeze in fighting on the front line.
Earlier on August 16, the New York Times, citing unnamed European officials, wrote that President Donald Trump had informed European leaders of the results of the summit, that Kiev's recognition of the entire Donbass as Russian would help quickly reach a peace agreement.
According to the publication's sources, the White House boss said that he supports such an option to resolve the conflict instead of trying to achieve a temporary ceasefire.
"After meeting with President Putin, President Trump rejected the demand for an immediate ceasefire and believed that a peace treaty could be quickly agreed upon if Mr. Zelensky agreed to cede the rest of Donbass territory to Russia, even areas not controlled by the Russian military," the New York Times said.
