On the morning of August 19, Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital held a ceremony to send two medical staff to reinforce Da Nang city to fight the Covid-19 epidemic. The two staff members who volunteered and were sent by the hospital to reinforce this time are both from the Laboratory Department: Doctor Cao Thi Kim Bang and technician Nguyen Viet Minh.
Dr. Tang Xuan Hai - Director of Nghe An Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital shared: When there was a policy to increase reinforcements for the epidemic area, many medical staff of the unit volunteered. On that basis, the Hospital selected 2 staff with good health, qualifications and capacity, suitable for the actual requirements of the epidemic area.
Notably, both officers clearly demonstrated their willingness to sacrifice personal feelings to join hands and contribute to a greater cause. To send reinforcements to Da Nang City this time, Dr. Cao Thi Kim Bang postponed her wedding; and technician Nguyen Viet Minh asked his brother and wife to stay home and take care of his sick father before leaving, - Dr. Tang Xuan Hai said.
Sharing her feelings at the ceremony, Dr. Cao Thi Kim Bang said: In 2020, I have postponed my wedding twice. The first time was due to the epidemic situation, Nghe An implemented social distancing. After that time, we planned to hold the wedding on the 21st of August of the lunar calendar. But when I was assigned the responsibility of sending reinforcements to the epidemic area, I confirmed that I would return only after the Covid-19 epidemic was over. The return date has not been set yet, so we decided to postpone the wedding for the second time.
Doctor Bang added: Before the policy of increasing reinforcements was announced, doctors and nurses at the Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital volunteered, registered, and were ready to go to epidemic areas. We just thought that when we put on the white coat, we must always be responsible for the health of the people and our country.

Hearing his encouragement, I feel confident and motivated to put aside personal feelings, go on a mission, fight and defeat the Covid-19 epidemic. I hope the epidemic will soon end, so that everyone can soon return to their loved ones and families, - Dr. Bang expressed.
Before leaving to reinforce Da Nang to fight the epidemic, Dr. Cao Thi Kim Bang wrote a very touching poem to her fiancé. The poem is as follows:
Dear!
We have postponed the wedding twice.
The scene is spreading across the country.
I can not think of my own love
When my friends, my colleagues
Working day and night to fight the epidemic
I stay home to find my own happiness.
Big love, wait at home
The epidemic is over - Let's get married!

However, he also encouraged and motivated me a lot. My mother, brother and wife did the same. Everyone said, “Don’t worry, you can go, everyone at home will take care of you”... that’s why I feel very secure.”
