The MINI was "born" to celebrate the British Royal wedding. |
To celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle, the British carmaker has launched a special edition of the MINI Hatch as a gesture of celebration. Immediately afterwards, this one-off car will be donated to one of the couple's chosen charities. And, after the wedding on May 19, this unique MINI will be handed over to the Children's HIV Association (CHIVA) for public auction.
“As an iconic British brand with nearly 60 years of history, we are delighted to mark the Royal Wedding with this special charity gift,” said Oliver Heilmer, MINI Design Director.

Unique design of MINI version to celebrate the British Royal wedding. |
The MINI design team has created a one-of-a-kind MINI Hatch. The specially designed roof combines with 3D printed interior and exterior details and special embroidery to make this MINI unlike any other MINI.
The exterior is painted in a unique Crystal White paint, with silver-blue trim around the car and on the hood. The characteristic MINI design features can still be recognized through the chrome trim, hexagonal grille frame, door handles, headlight and taillight trim highlighted in dark blue. The taillight system is designed in the Union Jack style and the wheel rims are in dark blue matte metal.

The interior also has many differences. |
The exterior's highlight is the paint finish of the hood, which uses many colors. The hood's pattern details are meticulously hand-painted in multiple layers, combined with motifs from the two flags of the two countries (the bride is an American actress). In particular, the right turn signal cover is 3D printed and features the initials M and H along with a heart and a ring. When the two front doors of the car are opened, a strip of light with the words "Just Married" reflects on the ground to welcome the owner to the car.
Inside, MINI has opted for Satellite Grey leather with a dark blue finish with chrome trim. The initials of the bride and groom's names, wedding date and best wishes for the newlyweds have also been added.
The car still uses a powerful engine with 192 horsepower, 280 Nm torque for acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of 230 km/h.
