Miroslav Klose becomes the greatest scorer in World Cup history
German striker Miroslav Klose has officially become the greatest scorer in World Cup history with a total of 16 goals.

The goal that brought this German star to the pinnacle of his career was the goal that increased the score to 2-0 in Germany's unbelievable 7-1 thrashing of Brazil in the semi-final of the 2014 World Cup that took place early this morning, July 9.
Klose has surpassed the “alien” Ronaldo to become the best scorer in World Cup history. In total, Klose has scored 16 goals after 4 World Cups, 1 goal more than the Brazilian legend.
This is truly a memorable record for Klose because this will probably be the last World Cup that the 36-year-old striker has the opportunity to participate in.
With the goal, Klose has a total of 71 goals after 136 appearances for the German national team - more than any other player who has ever worn the "Tank" shirt.
Not only that, by being sent onto the field by Joachim Loew in the match against Brazil early this morning, Klose also became the first player to appear in four consecutive World Cup semi-finals.

World Cup 2002 (5 goals):Klose has scored a total of five goals. He scored a hat-trick on his World Cup debut in an 8-0 win over Saudi Arabia, one goal in a 1-1 draw with Ireland, and one goal in a 2-0 win over Cameroon.
World Cup 2006 (5 goals):Klose scored two goals in the 4-2 win over Costa Rica on the opening day, two goals in the final group stage match against Ecuador. One extremely important goal in the quarter-final match against Argentina. This tournament, Klose received the Golden Boot award.
World Cup 2010 (4 goals):Klose scored 1 goal in Germany's 4-0 win over Australia. 1 goal in Germany's 4-1 win over England, and a double against Argentina in Germany's 4-0 win over Argentina.
World Cup 2014 (2 goals):1 goal against Ghana in a 2-2 draw, 1 goal in a 7-1 win against Brazil./.
