Rally in response to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner
This morning, September 14, in Vinh city, the Provincial People's Committee organized a rally to respond to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner and the Ecological Savings Program 2012. (Baonghean.vn) -This morning, September 14, in Vinh city, the Provincial People's Committee organized a rally to respond to the Campaign to Make the World Cleaner and the Ecological Savings Program 2012. Attending and reading the response were comrade Dinh Viet Hong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of provincial departments, branches, and sectors and districts, cities, and towns; and schools in Vinh city.
The Clean Up the World campaign was initiated in 1993 in Australia; launched globally by the United Nations Environment Program; and has become an important annual international environmental event taking place in the third week of September every year. After 19 years since its inception, the Clean Up the World campaign has attracted hundreds of millions of people from more than 130 countries around the world to respond with many activities and practical actions to protect the environment.
The Clean Up the World 2012 campaign with the theme: “Our Place… Our Planet… Our Responsibility” was launched and responded to globally from September 14 to 16. This is also the next theme on building a green economy and the International Year of Sustainable Energy 2012. Vietnam organized the national launching ceremony to respond to the 2012 Campaign in Da Nang city.
At the rally, comrade Dinh Viet Hong acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of all levels, sectors, organizations, agencies, units and the whole society in environmental protection, contributing to sustainable development.

He called on and requested all levels of government, unions, social organizations, businesses, schools and all people in the province to take responsibility and take practical actions to make our living environment cleaner; save natural resources, contributing to making the world cleaner. It is necessary to focus on expanding the Eco-saving Program in schools in the province; Strengthen and diversify many forms of propaganda and education, raise awareness of environmental protection, and save natural resources; Actively implement programs and projects on environmental protection; promote the resolution of pressing environmental issues in the province. Improve the effectiveness of management and protection of natural resources and environment; organize and launch environmental protection movements in each agency, unit and locality; promptly commend and reward collectives and individuals with many achievements in environmental protection.
