Rally in response to National Week of Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation
On the morning of April 24, at Le Hong Phong High School (Hung Nguyen), the Provincial People's Committee organized a rally to respond to the National Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation Week 2011. Attending the event was comrade Nguyen Dinh Chi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Implementing the National Strategy for Clean Water and Rural Environmental Sanitation approved by the Prime Minister, our province has issued many policies and strategies to mobilize maximum resources to build clean water supply and sanitation works.
Up to now, more than 83% of rural people in the province have access to hygienic water, of which more than 20% have access to clean water according to the standards issued by the Ministry of Health.

Responding to the Clean Water and Environmental Sanitation Week (from April 29 to May 6, 2011), the Provincial People's Committee calls on local Party committees and authorities, mass organizations and social organizations to focus on promoting propaganda to raise people's awareness of clean water and environmental sanitation; and environmental protection. From there, there will be practical actions to use and preserve clean water sources and protect the environment for the health of the community.
Focus on consolidating, maintaining and expanding models of sustainable and effective management and use of centralized water supply works. Mobilize the community to participate in the movement of the whole people actively participating in environmental protection, especially for people in highland and coastal areas. The Youth Union is the core force in protecting water resources and the living environment. Strive for each union, association and team to have at least one typical model... The Provincial People's Committee decided to make April 29, 2011 the national day for sanitation.
After the rally, the delegates participated in planting trees in the campus of Le Hong Phong High School. More than 1,000 youth union members of Hung Nguyen district took part in cleaning up the environment of village roads, alleys, offices, clearing waterways, dredging irrigation canals in the fields...
