Miura finalizes Vietnam team list to play Man City tonight
Coach Miura has completed the list of more than 20 players to prepare for the match with Man City. However, he will only announce it after round 18 of the V-League.
Mr. Miura wants his players to play their best for the club and not to "keep them" for the national team. Therefore, after the end of the 18th round of V.League 2015 (evening of July 23), Coach Miura announced the list of more than 20 Vietnamese players to be called up to prepare for the match with Man City at 8pm on July 27.
A VFF official said that the late announcement of the list of Vietnam national team stars affected the attraction of the match (ticket sales, media, advertising, etc.). However, to ensure the professional quality of the 18th round of V.League, VFF and Coach Miura have not announced this list yet.
Coach Miura and his students will gather for 3 days to prepare for the match with Man City. |
A member of the coaching staff said that he had received information that the Vietnam national team would gather at a 5-star hotel in Hanoi, and then the team would have their first training session on July 25. However, according to Coach Miura's request, no player had received a call-up yet.
Coach Miura returned to Vietnam to work from July 14. Immediately after that, he attended V.League matches to recruit players for the match against Man City. Mr. Miura's job in the coming time is to prepare for the next round of matches in the 2018 World Cup Qualifiers and the AFC U23 Championship Finals in January 2016 in Qatar.
