Opening the longest domestic flight route in Vietnam from April 28
From April 28, Air Mekong Joint Stock Company will operate direct flights from Hanoi to Phu Quoc, without transiting at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) as before.

The airline's Bombardier CRJ 900 jet will fly in approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes (a 50% reduction in time compared to the journey requiring a connecting flight and transfer at Tan Son Nhat Airport). The ceiling fare for economy class on this route is 2.72 million VND/ticket (excluding taxes and fees).
Initially, Air Mekong will operate 4-5 flights per week. Starting from June 1, the Hanoi - Phu Quoc route will be operated daily. However, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, this route will operate 7 flights per week. It is expected that the plane will depart from Hanoi at 6am and return from Phu Quoc at 3:40pm.

According to Mr. Vu, normally the Hanoi - Da Lat route is operated by the airline with 1 flight/day, but in the summer of 2011 AirMekong will increase to 2 flights/day on weekends.
Recently, Air Mekong and Vietnam Post Corporation (VNPost) have signed a contract to provide collection services. Accordingly, customers who buy Air Mekong tickets can pay for their air tickets at post offices nationwide. Not only that, all main post office transaction points will provide Air Mekong air ticket sales services to customers.
