The protest organized by the civil movement "Dignity and Rights" in the capital Chisinau of Moldova continued on September 13, but the number of participants tended to decrease compared to last week.

According to police representatives, about 20,000 people participated in the rally in the central square in the capital Chisinau, continuing to demand the resignation of President Nicolae Timofti, the leaders of the Central Bank of Moldova and the Ministry of Justice. The event was peaceful, after the main activity, most of the participants dispersed.

However, the leader of the "Dignity and Rights" movement declared that he would take a more decisive stance if the government did not respond to the protesters' demands.

According to the representative of this movement, a resolution was passed by protesters on September 6, expressing no confidence in the current government and announcing plans to establish a new political apparatus.

The head of the "Dignity and Rights" movement asserted that protesters will achieve their goals through peaceful means, after putting pressure on the government with marches.

In addition, this civil movement said it would form an interim government to hold early general elections, expected to take place before spring 2016.

Meanwhile, former Moldovan Deputy Prime Minister Valentin Dolganiuk, one of the protest organizers, said the "Dignity and Rights" movement plans to hold protest rallies in each region of Moldova and even spread across the country if the government does not fulfill the demands made by the movement.

The large-scale protest, organized by the "Dignity and Rights" movement, broke out on September 6 with the participation of about 40,000 people, in the context of Moldovan people's dissatisfaction with the scandal of losing up to 1 billion USD from three of the country's banks, the case was discovered last April and shook Moldova, one of the poorest countries in Europe.

In addition to demanding the resignation of a series of officials, protesters also called for a national election to choose the country's new leader.

Faced with the complicated situation, Moldovan Prime Minister Valery Streles and Speaker of the National Assembly Andrian Candu announced that the government is ready for dialogue to resolve problems and ensure the freedom of protesters within the framework of the constitution, but affirmed that they will not resign.

President Nicolae Timofti and the ruling leaders of the "Alliance for European Integration" refused to meet with representatives of the protesters./.
