Medicinal dishes for gout patients

Gout is caused by high levels of uric acid in the blood, which forms crystals that deposit in tissues. If these crystals deposit in the joints, it causes joint pain; if they deposit in the kidneys, it causes kidney stones, and so on.
There are several ways to prepare medicinal dishes for people suffering from this disease.
- Ingredients: 1 large tomato, 250g winter melon. Instructions: Wash and slice the tomato; wash and slice the winter melon into small pieces; put both into a pot, add enough water, cook until tender, then season to taste. Consume twice a day, one bowl each time, or use as a side dish.
- 100g tofu, 150g dried daylily leaves. Instructions: Wash the tofu and slice it; wash the daylily leaves and blanch them in boiling water. Put all ingredients into a pot, add enough water, bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat and simmer until cooked through. Season to taste.
- 1 eggplant, 1 clove of garlic, and some cilantro. Instructions: Wash the eggplant, cut it into long strips, steam it until cooked, then remove and let it cool. Wash the cilantro and chop it finely. Mince the garlic. Mix fish sauce, rice vinegar, cilantro, minced garlic, salt, seasoning powder, and sesame oil to make a sauce. Pour this sauce over the eggplant and mix well.
- 200g dried tofu skin, 100g chicken meat, a few slices of fresh ginger, 10g onion, 100g yam, black pepper, soy sauce, salt, seasoning powder, and cornstarch (each to taste). Instructions: Slice the chicken meat and marinate for 10 minutes. Soak the dried tofu skin in water, cut into small pieces, and set aside for later use. Peel and thinly slice the yam. Heat oil in a pan, sauté the ginger and onion until fragrant, add the chicken and stir-fry, then add the sliced yam and dried tofu skin. Stir briefly, add the seasonings, make a sauce, and serve on a plate. This dish is suitable for people who are thin, weak, fatigued, have poor appetite, and urinate infrequently.
- 150g fresh straw mushrooms, 400g tofu, 1 clove of garlic, scallions, sliced ginger, salt, sesame oil, seasoning powder, each to taste. Instructions: Dice the fresh straw mushrooms, blanch the tofu in boiling water and slice thinly. Heat oil in a pan, sauté minced garlic and ginger until fragrant, add the mushrooms and stir-fry briefly, then add water. Once boiling, add the tofu slices, season to taste, bring to a boil again, sprinkle with scallions, and drizzle with sesame oil. This dish is used to treat loss of appetite and abdominal distension caused by gout.
- 250g potatoes, 150g kelp, shredded ginger. Instructions: Wash and peel the potatoes, shred them, and blanch them briefly. Soak the kelp in water, wash it, shred it, and blanch it in boiling water. Mix the shredded ginger, sesame oil, salt, kelp shreds, and potato shreds together.
- 300g winter melon, 200g Chinese cabbage, 30g carrots, ginger, and scallions (each in sufficient quantity). Instructions: Peel and remove the seeds from the winter melon, wash and cut into square slices. Wash the Chinese cabbage and cut into sections. Slice the carrots thinly, slice the ginger thinly, and chop the scallions into sections. Heat a pan with oil, add scallions and carrots, stir-fry briefly, then add the chopped scallions, ginger slices, Chinese cabbage, and winter melon. Stir a few times, add broth, bring to a boil for about 10 minutes, season with salt, soy sauce, and seasoning powder. Served on its own.
- 1 large pear, a large handful of Houttuynia cordata leaves, enough white sugar. Instructions: Wash the pear, leave the skin on, chop finely, remove the seeds. Soak the Houttuynia cordata leaves in 800 ml of water, then cook over high heat until boiling, reduce heat and simmer for half an hour. Discard the leaves and strain to obtain half a liter of liquid. Add the pear to the liquid, add enough white sugar, and bring to a boil again over low heat. Cook until the pear is tender. Consume twice a day, one cup each time, or use as a side dish. Uses: Clears heat and dampness, cools blood and detoxifies, supports the treatment of urinary tract stones caused by gout.
- 5 water chestnuts, 2 chicken eggs. Instructions: Wash the water chestnuts and slice them thinly; beat the eggs in a bowl, add them to the water chestnuts, and steam until cooked.
- Wash 250g of zucchini, peel, and slice. Heat a pan on the stove, add oil, and stir-fry the zucchini until almost cooked. Add garlic, ginger strips, and seasonings to complete the dish.
