Morocco: Military plane crash, 30 people dead
Al-Arabiya TV channel reported on July 26 that 30 people were killed when a Moroccan military transport plane crashed in a mountainous area in the south of the country.
Meanwhile, Morocco's Goud news site reported that there were 70 people on board the plane when the crash occurred, of whom 26 were killed and four were injured.
Moroccan Information Minister Khaled Naciri said the crashed plane was a Hercules C-130 of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces.
The accident happened in the hill town of Guelmin, about 700km south of the capital Rabat.
Minister Naciri said there were deaths, but did not release official casualty figures or provide related information.
