(Baonghean.vn) -On February 20, 2012, authorized by the leaders of Hanoi City Police, the leaders of the Criminal Investigation Police Department of Nghe An Province Police awarded a certificate of merit to Mr. Dao Trong Loan - Head of the Civil Protection Team of Block 4, Quang Trung Ward, Vinh City for his outstanding achievements in crime prevention, contributing to the successful arrest of a particularly dangerous wanted subject for the crime of "murder" committed in Hanoi who is hiding in Nghe An.

Subject Tran Manh Hung (born in 1984), residing in Doi Can, Ba Dinh, Hanoi, was issued a nationwide wanted order by Hanoi City Police after participating in the AK shooting incident at Truc Bach Lake (Hanoi) in mid-2010 and then fled the area. After a period of searching for his whereabouts, at the end of 2011, determining that Hung was likely hiding in Vinh City, Hanoi City Police requested the Criminal Investigation Department of Nghe An Police to coordinate in verifying and arresting the subject.

Considering that Hung is a subject with a hooligan and gangster nature, the Criminal Investigation Department of Nghe An Police coordinated with the police and civil defense of Le Loi and Quang Trung wards to grasp the situation and check the locations where the subject might appear. After a short period of examination, Mr. Dao Trong Loan - head of the civil defense team of block 4 - Quang Trung ward determined that Tran Manh Hung was often present at the house of a resident in the block, so he reported to the Quang Trung ward police and proactively grasped all the movements of the subject.

After Hung left Vinh City to return to Hanoi, through professional measures and close coordination between forces, Tran Manh Hung was arrested while he was disguised as a sand mining worker along the Red River dike (Hanoi), ending more than a year of living in hiding, evading the law.

In conclusion of the project, Hanoi City Police decided to reward comrade Dao Trong Loan, head of the People's Protection Team of Block 4 - Quang Trung Ward, for his great contribution in capturing the dangerous wanted criminal Tran Manh Hung. The project also demonstrated the close coordination between the police forces of the two localities of Hanoi - Nghe An in the fight against crime, contributing to protecting the peace of the people.
