A rice field guard was beaten to death.

(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of March 19, Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with Yen Thanh District Police and the Provincial Forensic Center to conduct an autopsy on the victim who died from suspected beatings while protecting the fields.

The victim in the above murder case was Mr. Nguyen Duy Vinh (born in 1962, residing in Hamlet 3, Hau Thanh Commune, Yen Thanh, Nghe An).

Authorities are conducting investigation procedures.

Previously, at around 5:00 a.m. on March 18, Mr. Le Dinh Du (67 years old) and Mr. Nguyen Duy Vinh (born in 1962, living in the same hamlet) were working as rice field guards. While checking the rice fields, they discovered Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (born in 1992, living in hamlet 2A, Hau Thanh commune, Yen Thanh district) was catching eels.

The two men approached and asked Tuan not to release the bamboo traps here because the field was young and could easily be damaged, and at the same time, confiscated Tuan's bamboo traps. Tuan threatened to go to the house to burn down the house, so the two men left and left. However, after walking a distance, Tuan ran back and grabbed the stick from Mr. Du's hand, pushed him down, and used the stick to hit Mr. Du's thighs and buttocks.

Seeing that, Mr. Vinh also ran to stop him but was hit by Tuan once in the left front rib and once hard in the right waist then grabbed a bag and ran away.

After the incident, the two men reported it to the local authorities and returned home to live normally because they thought their injuries were not too serious.

At around 5am on March 19th, while Mrs. Ly (Mr. Vinh’s wife) was preparing breakfast, she discovered Mr. Vinh lying collapsed in the middle of the yard. When the doctor was called for emergency treatment, Mr. Vinh had just stopped breathing.

Initial autopsy found a bruised, hematoma-filled intestine, a bruised, split left kidney with a large hematoma.

After determining this was a criminal case, the investigation agency proceeded to temporarily detain the subject to serve the investigation.

The cause of the incident is currently being investigated by the investigation agency.
