Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Tien Thanh village - Chi Khe - Con Cuong) said: "Every year, when Tet comes, prices increase, but this year they have only increased slightly."

In the villages, most of them have finished planting the spring crop, so people are somewhat assured in preparing for Tet. It has become a tradition that every year, the Thai people in Lien Dinh village (Chi Khe) decorate each house with red flags with yellow stars. Before the pig slaughtering day (30th of Tet), people go to their ancestors' graves to clear, decorate and invite their ancestors to celebrate Tet. In the evening, they organize a ceremony to call their souls back to celebrate Tet. People believe that each person has many different souls. These souls may be lost somewhere and need to be called back to celebrate Tet, especially for families with small children.
