(Baonghean.vn) -According to the report sent by Ms. Duong Thi Hoa's family to the authorities, their son, Le Dinh Son, suddenly went missing after returning to his hometown from the Central Highlands to celebrate Tet and then returned to school, without any further contact with his family.

On the afternoon of February 3, the reporter was present at Son's grandparents' house. Ms. Hoa (Son's mother) said: she and Mr. Le Dinh Sang got married and had 3 children: Son, Linh and the youngest daughter named Tram. In 1994, the couple moved to Village 2, Yahrung Commune, Yagrai District, Gia Lai Province, leaving the 3 children with their grandparents in Nghe An. When the family's economy was stable, the couple brought Son to school there starting in 7th grade. Since then, Son has studied and lived there with his parents.

During the recent Lunar New Year, Son's family sent him to his grandparents' house in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city to celebrate Tet. After finishing Tet, around 1pm on January 6 (lunar calendar), Ms. Hoa took Son to the north of Ben Thuy bridge to catch a bus to Gia Lai to be on time for school. When Son got on the bus, there was also a pregnant woman and two young men. When I got home, I called my son to ask if he was carsick, but he answered the phone normally. In the afternoon of the same day, I had just gone to the market to prepare dinner for the family, so I called him again to ask where he was, but he did not answer the phone. A while later, Son texted back: "I've eaten dinner, the bus is moving". At around 10pm, Mr. Le Dinh Sang (Son's biological father) called Son from Gia Lai but he did not answer the phone, he only texted back: "Call me when you get there". At about 4am on the 7th, Mr. Sang continued to call and Son said: "I don't know where I am because it's dark. I'm tired."

At around 6am on the 7th day of Tet, Son texted his girlfriend in Kon Tum: “Nhung!”. Then Son texted his father: “I’m not home yet.” This was also the last text message his family received from Son. After that, Son’s cell phone was turned off and calls could not be made.

Since then, 5 days have passed, and the family has not been able to contact Son. Calling Son's phone, there is no signal. Mr. Sang, Son's father, went to class 10A8 at Huynh Thuc Khang school, where Son studies, to find out more, but there is still no news.

Currently, Vinh City Police are working with the family to investigate the case. According to Son's family, it is very likely that he was kidnapped on the way to Gia Lai. Because Son is a good child, a good student, and the class monitor of class 10A8, the possibility of him going out to play is very unlikely. And if he did go out, he would ask his parents' permission. The family of Ms. Hoa and Mr. Sang in Gia Lai also have no conflicts with anyone.

Contacting us by phone, Mr. Hoang Kien Trung, homeroom teacher of class 10A8, Huynh Thuc Khang High School said: “Son is a good student, the class monitor of the class. He is always a role model in everything. He has never skipped school without calling to ask for permission or without a valid reason. When we heard the news, we also asked other students to contact Son but to no avail.

Ms. Duong Thi Hoa also added that last year Son met a friend named Dung, who lives in Le Mao ward, Vinh city and worked as a mobile police officer in Gia Lai. During the recent Tet holiday, Son only went out with Dung or stayed at home and did not know anyone else. Another detail is that during Tet, when accidentally checking his phone account, the family discovered that there was a lot of money but did not know who paid it.

The family has also asked people to look for gold mines in Quang Nam but there is still no trace of Son. When he left, Son wore a black V-neck shirt and dark jeans, white sneakers, and a striped wool scarf around his neck.
