A student of Vinh University's specialized school participates in the International Math Olympiad

The Vietnamese team of excellent students participating in the 54th International Mathematical Olympiad 2013 (IMO 2013) which will take place in Colombia from July 18 to 28, 2013 includes 6 excellent students selected by the Ministry of Education and Training through many rounds of competition.

(Baonghean.vn) -The Vietnamese team of excellent students participating in the 54th International Mathematical Olympiad 2013 (IMO 2013) which will take place in Colombia from July 18 to 28, 2013 includes 6 excellent students selected by the Ministry of Education and Training through many rounds of competition.,including Dinh Le Cong - High School for the Gifted, Vinh University.

Dinh Le Cong was born in 1995 in Hong Linh Town. His father is currently the Head of the Political Science Department at Vinh University; his mother is a Physics teacher at Bac Hong Secondary School, Hong Linh Town. After finishing 9th grade at Bac Hong Secondary School, Hong Linh Town, Cong took the entrance exam to Vinh University's Specialized High School and Phan Boi Chau Specialized High School (Nghe An) and he passed both schools with high scores. Cong chose Vinh University's Specialized High School.

In grade 11, although he was an excellent student at school, due to health problems, Cong did not participate in the National Grade 12 Excellent Student Exam. This school year, Cong studied in grade 12A1. In addition to his own efforts, he also received the attention, help, and dedicated teaching of teachers at Vinh University High School for the Gifted. In the recent Grade 12 National Excellent Student Exam, he won first prize in Math with a very high score.

Not only is he a good student, Cong is also very talented in social activities and sports: he was a young player of the Hong Linh Town Junior High School football team, which won the provincial championship organized by the Ha Tinh Department of Education and Training; he was the class president for 3 years of high school; he participated in the Gymnastics Club, the English Club... and at the same time he is a housewife where the father and son live in the Vinh University dormitory to have "delicious meals and sweet soup" for both father and son after teaching and studying hours. With the advantage of being 1m72 tall, handsome, and stylish; with a sociable personality, Cong has been loved by teachers and friends.

Cong has 2 brothers, his older brother Cong is a former student majoring in Mathematics at Vinh High School for the Gifted, then studied at the University of Commerce and graduated.Dinh Le Cong is an excellent student of Vinh University's High School for the Gifted, and has become one of the six most outstanding representatives of Vietnam to compete with friends around the world in Colombia this coming July. Let's wait for the good news of the victory of the Vietnamese IMO team, including Dinh Le Cong's hope that he will continue to record new milestones in the journey to conquer the heights of knowledge that previous generations have marked.
