(Baonghean.vn) - Continuing the achievements of previous years, in 2011, the Editorial Board paid attention to and directed the Readers - Collaborators (CTV) Department to further innovate in order to better fulfill the role of the Editorial Board's bridge with readers and people. The Reception Department was renovated, equipped with more spacious facilities, and reporters were added to better investigate and handle complaints.
In 2011, the Department received a record number of citizens and petitions (306 cases and petitions as of December 15, an increase of nearly 50 cases compared to 2010), the processing rate reached 95% of the total 260 newly arising cases, keeping track of nearly 50 cases of fake, anonymous or duplicate content petitions, and not allowing major errors to occur that required complaints or corrections.
Since February 2011, the Editorial Board has assigned the Department to open the "Hotline Information" column. Up to now, after 10 months of implementation, over 200 hot news have been sent to the Editorial Office. Since the establishment of this forum, people have found a reliable address to send information and wishes.

Not only readers and citizens, but also the authorities themselves consider this a "channel" to monitor and supervise their management effectiveness. A banner or slogan hanging across the street that is broken or sagging accidentally becomes a "noose" but no one "cleans it up" for several days, a cluster of traffic lights at an intersection is constantly in a "barely there" state, or manholes on the sidewalk are "forgotten" to be covered, the sidewalk has been encroached upon for many years..., as long as there is information from the people reflecting on the hotline, the authorities will almost immediately step in to inspect and handle it very effectively.
In an effort to bring Nghe An newspaper publications closer to readers and people, in 2011, in addition to improving the quality of publications and diversifying columns to serve readers' needs, the Editorial Board of Nghe An Newspaper took the first steps to bring printed newspapers to the retail market. After the Distribution Conference in August 2011 to review the results of 2 years of implementing the distribution and use of party newspapers, from September 1, 2011, the Editorial Board piloted the sale of retail newspapers at large newsstands in Vinh City and post offices in districts and towns. Along with that, the Editorial Office has a distribution department to sell and serve the retail newspaper needs of units. Since October, the Editorial Board has coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Provincial Post Office to organize working sessions in districts and towns to evaluate the effectiveness of subscription and use of Nghe An newspaper in accordance with Directive No. 11/CT.TU in 1996 of the Politburo and Directive No. 03/CT.TU in 2001 of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee.
The above business trips have helped the Editorial Board have survey and exploratory information to contribute to improving quality and meeting the reading needs of readers.
When it comes to reader work, it is impossible not to mention the care and development of the network of collaborators, considering it as one of the main sources of news and articles for Nghe An Newspaper publications. In 2011, in addition to surveying and making a list of collaborators by group, locality and expertise to place articles according to the outline and content of the Editorial Board, the Readers' Office has established a directory of collaborators in localities, sectors and fields to manage and help specialized departments, reporters in charge of areas and sectors coordinate to provide information and collaborate, invite writing articles, in which priority is given to hot news and events from the grassroots. Over 10,500 news, articles and photos in 2011 (of which via email accounted for the majority with 8,250 news, articles and photos of all kinds), an increase of nearly 3,000 news and articles compared to 2010, demonstrating the contribution of the team of collaborators to Nghe An Newspaper.
With the above silent work, the readers - contributors are contributing their small efforts every day to build the relationship between the newspaper and its readers increasingly stronger, striving to be worthy of being a trusted forum for readers and people of the province.
