A fisherman had both hands crushed by a winch.
(Baonghean.vn)- While pulling the net, fisherman Nguyen Thanh Hoang (born in 1999), in hamlet 4, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu, was unfortunately caught in the winch wire, crushing all the fingertips on both hands.
On the morning of April 24, Lieutenant Colonel Quach Van Phuc - Deputy Chief of Operations of Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station informed that the unit had just handed over a fisherman who had a work accident at sea to his family to take him to the emergency room.

Previously, at 5:00 a.m. on April 23, fishing boat NA 978789 TS, captained by Mr. Pham Van Hai (born in 1979), in hamlet 10, Son Hai commune, Quynh Luu, with 10 crew members, was fishing at coordinates 19 degrees 15" N - 106 degrees 52" E, when fisherman Nguyen Thanh Hoang was caught by the winch, crushing all the fingertips on both hands.
Discovering the incident, the crew on board quickly provided first aid and signaled surrounding fishing vessels to come and assist, bringing the victim ashore.
At 2:00 p.m. on April 23, the fishing boat carrying the fishermen in distress was approaching shore, but due to low tide, the boat could not reach shore and was 10 km from the mainland. Upon receiving the news, Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station dispatched a canoe and 4 soldiers directly to the boat to bring the victims ashore.
At 3:30 p.m., Quynh Thuan Border Guard Station handed over fisherman Nguyen Thanh Hoang to his family and local authorities for timely emergency treatment.
