(Baonghean.vn) -The missing fisherman was identified as Hoang Van Dong, 46 years old, from Hamlet 9, Son Hai Commune, Quynh Luu. As of the evening of October 27, all search efforts had yielded no results.

On the afternoon of October 27, on the way to shore to avoid the storm, fishing boat NA-90071-TS, captained by Mr. Vo Van Huong in An Hoa commune, Quynh Luu district, carrying 8 fishermen, encountered big waves. Mr. Dong was standing on the side of the boat and was hit by the wind, falling from the boat into the sea.

Ship NA-90071-TS called on other fishing boats to join the search, but due to big waves and strong winds, the search and rescue of Mr. Dong was very difficult. The location where Mr. Dong went missing was about 8 nautical miles from shore.

Dong's family is poor, he has to go fishing for hire to make a living.
