A fisherman fell into the sea and went missing.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of July 1, according to news from Dien Thanh Border Post (Nghe An Border Guard), they are actively searching for a fisherman who fell into the sea and went missing on June 28.

The victim was Mr. Tran Van Xuan, born in 1961, residing in Hai Nam hamlet, Dien Bich commune, Dien Chau district (Nghe An).

According to Mr. Tran Van Son (born in 1975) - Mr. Xuan's son who was also on the boat, at about 5:00 a.m. on June 28, when Mr. Xuan and 3 people on the fishing boat NA 3624 TS owned by Mr. Tran Van Sau (born in 1975) - Mr. Son's younger brother, were pulling the net, Mr. Xuan unfortunately slipped and fell into the sea and went missing.

Mr. Tran Van Son, Mr. Xuan's son, was on the train that day.

Afterwards, Mr. Sau's fishing boat called on nearby ships to join the search and informed the local authorities and Dien Thanh Border Guard Station, but still could not find any trace of Mr. Xuan.

After many unsuccessful search efforts, Mr. Sau and two crew members reached shore on the evening of June 29.

Currently, everyone in the family has confirmed that Mr. Xuan has died and is missing. However, the hope of finding Mr. Xuan's body is very difficult because the area where Mr. Xuan fell was about 3-4 nautical miles from the Chinese sea and there were big waves that day.

Currently, Dien Thanh Border Guard Station is coordinating with other authorities to handle the case to assist in the search for the missing victim's body.
