A woman died from suspected suicide by drinking weed killer

(Baonghean.vn) - When the husband returned home from work, he found his wife unconscious, bleeding from her mouth, and next to her was a packet of weed killer. Although she was rushed to the hospital, the victim died.

On May 4, Colonel Mai Chien Thang (Deputy Chief of Vinh City Police, Nghe An) said that the agency is investigating the cause of death of Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai (born in 1990, temporarily residing in Cua Nam Ward, Vinh City). The victim Mai's parents' house is in Thanh Chuong District, and she married and moved to Hong Son Ward, Vinh City. The couple rented a house in Cua Nam Ward.

According to Colonel Thang, on the afternoon of May 3, Mr. Thinh (Ms. Mai's husband) returned from work to his rented house in Cua Nam ward and discovered his wife lying motionless on the floor, with blood in her mouth and a weed killer container next to her. He immediately called for help and everyone took the victim to the emergency room, but Ms. Mai died at the hospital shortly after.

On the night of May 3, Vinh City Police conducted an autopsy at the victim’s boarding house. Police determined that there was a package of weed killer next to the victim when he was unconscious.

According to the deputy city police chief, the autopsy sample is being sent for examination and we must wait for the conclusion to know the cause of the victim's death.

According to the investigation agency, Mai and her husband had been married for only 26 days. They were both working as workers at a company in Vinh city. Before the heartbreaking incident, there had been a conflict between the couple. Mai may have been angry with her husband and committed suicide by drinking pesticide.
