Mourinho loses again, Chelsea considers hiring Brendan Rodgers as interim coach
Perhaps no miracle can save Jose Mourinho's future at Chelsea. The Blues lost 0-1 to Stoke in round 12 of the Premier League, their 7th defeat of the season, and British newspapers reported that Chelsea is considering hiring Brendan Rodgers as interim manager.

Rodgers himself was sacked by Liverpool not long ago after failing to bring The Kop out of a terrible slump. Firing Mourinho and finding a replacement has been a topic that has been talked about a lot at Chelsea for a while now.
Candidates are divided into two categories: short-term and long-term. Mr. Rodgers is of course only considered a temporary solution while Chelsea is still struggling to find a replacement. The Mirror newspaper said they want to use Mr. Rodgers until the end of the season while waiting for Diego Simeone from Atletico Madrid to come as a long-term replacement.
Rodgers coached Chelsea's reserves 10 years ago and is well respected at Stamford Bridge, but if Chelsea choose him even as interim manager, it will still be considered a controversial decision because, as mentioned, Rodgers has had a disappointing final few months with Liverpool.
