"I want to see my players perform like they did in the comeback against Olympiakos. Beating any opponent will bring three points, but winning big matches is still very important," said the Scottish strategist.
"The Manchester derby is always a highly anticipated game. United did not play well at the Etihad in the first leg but we will improve our performance in the second leg. While Man City are competing for the title, we are trying to get points to improve our position in the rankings. Man City's ability to score goals is scary, that's why they are in the top group. We need to focus on that and try to balance between attack and defense."
In the first leg, Man City won a resounding 4-1 victory over the “Red Devils” at Etihad Stadium. In the second leg, although playing at Old Trafford, MU’s chances of winning are still very slim because they have been defeated by many weaker opponents at home this season.
- In the late match of round 29 of Serie A, Carlos Tevez scored the only goal to help Juventus win all 3 points at Catania Stadium.
This victory helps Juventus continue to maintain a 14-point gap with the second-placed team, AS Roma.
Meanwhile, in their away match at the Olympico, AC Milan only managed to get 1 point against Lazio. Milan opened the scoring thanks to an own goal by Abdoulay Konko at the end of the first half, but in the middle of the second half, Alvaro Gonzalez equalized the score 1-1. With this result, Milan dropped to 12th place in the rankings.
