At the conference, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front disseminated Directive No. 05/CT-TTg dated January 28, 2020 of the Prime Minister; Official Dispatch No. 79-CT/TW dated January 29, 2020 of the Central Party Secretariat and Official Dispatch No. 514/MTTW-BTT dated January 31, 2020 of the Central Standing Committee on the prevention and control of acute respiratory infections caused by the Corona virus.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front requested the Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities nationwide to coordinate with member organizations and relevant functional agencies to advise Party committees to disseminate, thoroughly understand and implement the Central's directive documents; at the same time, develop specific plans for disease prevention and control in localities.

At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities also need to proactively coordinate with member organizations and functional agencies to propagate to each residential area, each union member, association member and all classes of people about the dangerous nature and serious harm of the Corona epidemic as well as measures and solutions to prevent and improve the ability to prevent and fight the epidemic at the highest level among all classes of people in residential areas.

Along with that is the fight against organizations and individuals who provide inaccurate information, causing confusion and affecting people's lives.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of provinces and cities need to direct the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and its member organizations at all levels to grasp the epidemic situation and public opinion among the people for timely propaganda; at the same time, perform the function of supervising the implementation of the Central Government's instructions on the prevention and control of the Corona epidemic at all levels, sectors and localities, on that basis, propose effective solutions.

Speaking at the conference, comrade Tran Thanh Man - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front emphasized that the acute respiratory disease caused by the new strain of Corona virus is developing complicatedly with 22 countries and territories recording people infected with the disease with the most recent update being 9,218 people, including Vietnam.

And in the early morning of January 31, the World Health Organization convened a second meeting and declared an international public health emergency.

Therefore, together with local Party committees and authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front system and socio-political organizations need to clearly identify the prevention and control of the Corona epidemic as a key and urgent task that must be focused on leading and directing in accordance with the spirit of the Secretariat, the Government and the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, contributing to raising people's awareness of self-prevention in protecting and improving their health as well as implementing measures and solutions to effectively prevent and control the Corona epidemic; determined to control and prevent the epidemic from spreading, ensuring socio-economic development, social order and safety, stabilizing people's lives and successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels.
